Quiz League: Shannon are latest in Hare's sights
HARE and Hounds B's bid for top Todmorden Quiz League honours was helped by a convincing win at home to Shannon with the highest score of the night last week.
Con Club equalled the night's highest tally with an even more convincing demolition of Hare and Hounds A.
At home to Jack's House, Woodpecker fell well behind in the early stages and were 13 points behind after Round 2. They pulled back the deficit to 3 points after the link but Jack's kept nosing ahead and ended up winners which maintains their league top spot.
The questions apparently didn't suit Cornholme's workmen whose low score allowed Bird a welcome victory.
Results: Hare and Hounds B 66, Shannon 55; Con Club 66, Hare and Hounds A 47, Woodpecker 59, Jacks House 65; Bird I' Th' Hand 56, Cornholme WMC 31.
