Trio bag five each as Sports Centre go goal crazy again

Todmorden Sports Centre under 14s made it 38 goals in two matches with a 17-1 success away to Elland.

The home side took the lead from a spectacular long-range drive past Thomas Stansfield.

Todmorden recovered quickly, drawing level from a clinical finish by Josh Petersen.

Normal service was resumed and the tigerish trio of Josh Petersen, Henry Antemes and Benjamin Pearson shared 15 goals equally.

Lewis Porter and Sam Foster added to the scoring with one each.

The midfield of Jack Pearson, Jack Denton, Christopher Reeder and Sam Foster worked tirelessly, as usual.

The three-man defence of Alec Hodkinson, Jack Crummett and Charlie Mariani were rarely tested but were resilient when called upon.

Callum Bailey and Aiden Stansfield were also effective throughout the game.
