Lupton back in form with golf medal win

THE winner of the July Medal at Todmorden Golf Club, showing a long-awaited return to form with an excellent net 63, was Andrew Lupton, who was the tiger qualifier.

Both he and runner-up and rabbit qualifier Paul Neely with a great net 65. progress to the Gold Medal Final in October.

Nearest the pin prizes were won by Darren Wilson and Neil Chrimes on the fifth and 16th holes.

Back playing after illness were Dave Greenwood, Darren Wilson and John Hodson.

The ladies latest competition was an 18 hole stableford, won with an exellent score of 39 points by Joyce Jesson. Second was Janet Taylor on 34, third was Alison Barker on 32 and fourth Ann Dewhirst on 30.
