Ami rarely missed in Twisters’ victory

IT was a fantastic start from Twisters in the latest series of matches in the Todmorden Netball League.

They made Lions work for every ball with long amounts of possession between goals.

Twisters showing a massive improvement from last week’s defeat ran out 10 - 6 winners.

They dominated the start of the second half scoring three goals in a matter of minutes with GS Ami Fisher rarely missing.

Lions took their opportunites but the Twisters defence stopped the ball reaching the circle.

In a fast paced match Jammies overcame Giants 23 - 10.

After an exellent first half by Terriers, Borough Bears managed to pull it back in the second half but went down 29 - 15.

Rangers were missing their regular GD and Windies fielding new players ensured motivation and determination from both teams.

It was good defence from the Windies that kept the Rangers on the move but patience and skill ensured Rangers kept the score in their favour and ran out 17 - 13 winners.

Windies, with four regular players missing, did well to raise a team. They put in a good solid effort to work the ball into the circle and with some excellent shooting from GA Morgan Davies kept it a close score against top of the league Rangers.

Panthers had no game.
