Todmorden’s mixed team were beaten 9-5 West Craven in their final match of the season and will finish third or fourth.
They have suffered from unavailabilities but have acquitted themselves well.
Sue King and Laurence C Knoble were hammered 21-8, 21-10 in the opener but Sandra Simpson and Mike Kaye worked well to produce an epic comeback from an opening loss of 21-15, taking the next two 24-22, 21-14.
Simpson and Kaye Mike were then beaten 21-12, 21-13 and although Knoble and King won the first 21-17, their opponents came through to take the next two 21-10, 21-15.
The ladies match was won 21-11, 21-17, but Knoble and Kaye went down 21-11, 21-15.
Tod will be hoping for more consistency next season after a transitional year in which both men were new to the mixed side.
