Geert de Vos will be the second opponent for Scott Waites in this year’s Lakeside World Professional Darts Championship.

The Belgian beat Kostas Pantelidis from Greece by 3-1 yesterday to earn a meeting with ex-Sowerby Bridge resident Waites, who works in Calderdale.

The pair’s meeting is listed as the fourth and final match in the Thursday evening session televised by BT Sport.

Waites, the 2012 champion, is a 2-5 shot to beat de Vos after his impressive 3-0 destruction of Willem Mandingers in his opening contest.
