Netball league

EVEN though a player down Bears controlled the first half of their game against Lions in the latest series of matches in the Todmorden Netball League.

The game ran away from them in the second half and they lost 11 - 9.

It was an evenly matched first half with good passing and defending from both teams, but some long passing and excellent shooting meant Lions pulled away to win

Both Rangers and Panthers were a player down and Panthers eventually ran out 15 - 5 winners.

It was a good start for Twisters, scoring the first goal against Jammies, who got off to a slow start but managed to find the net with some excellent shooting from their shooter.

At half time it was 11-10 to Jammies, who started the second half well putting Twisters on defence.

They just managed to keep ahead until the end, winning 22 - 17.

Terriers played a clean smooth game to register a good 21 - 8 win over Giants.

Terriers took every opportunity to find the net as Giants did their best to keep up, but with some shoddy passing were giving the ball away.

It was game with excellent court etiquette and the referees were on sharp form keeping it a tight game with end to end action.

Windies had a bye.
