Netball title sealed with a convincing win

JAMMY Dodgers have won the Todmorden Netball League, with Rangers finishing in second place.

Jammys sealed the title with a convincing 18 - 11 victory over Terriers in the latest series of matches.

Despite a good all round team performance by Terriers, they were always up against it as Jammy introduced a number of different players.

But it was always a good competitive game between the sides.

Second placed Rangers were always in command in a convincing 24 - 6 win over Lions.

Once Lions fell behind in a fast paced match with new players on the team they did their best but it was just not enough to close the gap.

Giants and Panthers played out a fast paced 15 - 15 draw in close encounter which saw Panthers come back strongly in the second half.

Panthers started a little sloppy and there was very good centre third play from Giants.

Giants held the lead throughout the game, although Panthers pushed hard in the second half leaving an exhausted Giants.

Some clever circle work gave Giants the final goal in the last seconds.

It was another close game between Windies and Borough Bears with Windies just edging it 16 - 15.

It was a much improved performance from last week by Bears pushing an experienced Windies side to the edge.

It was a really encouraging end to the season for Bears first campaign in the league.

After an excellent performance last week against Bears, Windies were a little complacient.

With Bears pushing Windies hard and taking a strong lead in the second half Windies had to use some excellent teamwork to get the ball to the shooting circle and convert the goals.

It was a good all round team performance by Windies to win the game and bring a good finish to their season.

Jacks had a bye.
