Night of wildly varying scores

A NIGHT of wildly varying scores in the Todmorden Quiz League was reflected in the highest and lowest of the night in Hare and Hounds A’s defeat of Weavers.

The Cricketers team was depleted by most of their regulars watching football and this was partly the reason for losing against Royal George.

Bridge End’s revival continued in their win against Queen who seem to have lost early season impetus.

Cornholme’s Waggoners welcomed the return of their star player by defeating Polished Knob by a mere two points in a very high scoring match.

Shannon were fifteen points behind at half way and even though they fought back to within six points it was not enough to snatch victory at home to Woodpecker.

Another team seeming to lose early season form is Jack’s House who went down to Hounds B.

Results: Weavers 43, Hare and Hounds A 81; Todmorden CC 47, Royal George 49; Bridge End 68, Queen 59; Polished Knob 75, Cornholme Waggon 77; Shannon 53, Woodpecker 59; Hare and Hounds B 67, Jack’s House 56.
