One of their best pulls reserves out of bottom three

West Lancashire League Division Two Reserve

BOROUGH moved out of the bottom three with one of their best performances of the season.

After a closely-fought first half Marvin Bonnie scored with a well struck shot from just inside the area shortly before the break.

Early in the second half Nick Barber was tripped in the area and Nathan Adams stepped up to put away the spot kick.

The home side fought back and grabbed a goal. They continued to press and got the ball in Borough’s net again, but it was ruled offside.

It was the spur the visitors needed and soon they stretched their lead, Terry Lowe beating off several defenders to slot the ball home.

When Justin Adams added a fourth from close range, Borough were home and dry.

In a good team display, Borough’s four attacking midfielders were the key.

It completes a good period for Borough’s Reserve team, who can muster a squad of around 20.
