Only four complete windswept course

PAULINE Stafford started the April medal at Todmorden Golf Club with a win in windy conditions, so bad that only four finished the 18-hole competition. She carded 78.

In the Rive Rocks stableford competition, the winner was Joyce Jesson, with 34 points. Irene Muldowney had a birdie on the fifth hole and Linda Bell came in second with 32 points.

Jean Kirk was the winner of an 18-hole stroke competition after a card play-off on 67 with Ann Dewhurst.

The Sunday medal was won by the Lady Captain Dinah Kenworthy with a 69.

A fun competition was also held with Irene Muldowney and Michelle Miller winnng the nine-hole event. Michelle got a birdie on the third.

Mary Crawford, Ann Dewhurst and Alison Barker had 85 points Alison getting two birdies and a eagle in her round.
