Borough Reserves opened the scoring against Lostock St Gerard’s after 25 minutes when Sam Dunkley flicked the ball on for Nathan Adams to slot it home.
But in an even half the visitors came back with a free header from a corner and straight after added another from a defensive mistake to make it 2 - 1 at half-time.
Early in the second half, Justin Adams looped the ball over the keeper to level things.
Borough were then hit twice on the break to make it 4 - 2 and soon after went a further goal behind from a defensive mistake.
Borough created chances but could not get the ball in the net until a foul in the box allowed Terry Lowe to score from the penalty spot for his 12th of the season.
It was battling performance by Borough, considering they lost 9 - 0 to the same team earlier in the season.
