WALSDEN Cricket Club held its annual presentation evening at which prizes were handed out to the season’s top performers.
Last season’s professional Duminda Perera topped the first team batting averages with 46.22, but opener Matthew Dawson was the best of the amateur players with 30.93.
Jamie Shackleton topped the bowling figures with 44 wickets at an average of 18.11.
In the second team Joe Gale topped the bowling figures with an average of 14.3 from 49 wickets, while captain Stuart Hanson topped the batting averages with 41.5 and also took the all round prize.
Gareth Connor topped the third team bowling averages, while Jake Hooson won the batting prize, as well as taking both the batting and bowling awards for the club’s under 18s team.
Matt Ormerod got a special award for his bowling in the under-18s match at Oldham.
There he bowled 3.2 overs, including one maiden for four wickets for five runs. It included a hat trick.
