Second half turnaround for seconds

AFTER a downbeat first half, Jacks seconds turned it round with a fine spirited performance in the second.

They trailed 1 - 0 at the break after a defensive mix-up.

The home side totally dominated possession but Jacks keeper Anthony McCarthy kept them in the game with a string of good saves.

It was a different determined Jacks who turned out for the second half inspired by captain Joseph McLernon and full back Chris Ford.

They soon got a goal back when Josh Krogulski got on the end of a cross and half-volleyed it into the net to level.

He was on hand soon after to slam the ball home and give Jacks the lead.

It was an important goal for Jacks in a game between two teams who are struggling at the foot of the table.

Their delight soon got another boost when they went further ahead, sealing the match 3-1.

Thomas Barnes turned his man well and coolly sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to clinch the game for Jacks.

It was a determined team performance by Jacks in the second half after stern words had been said at half-time following a lacklustre first period.
