Seconds limber up for cup final

TODMORDEN second team limbered up for their cup final this weekend with a victory and a defeat.

On Saturday (1pm) they face Ramsbottom at Centre Vale in the Lancashire Telegraph Cup.

But last weekend they beat Bacup at home and lost the following day at Nelson.

Mark Clayton top scored with 68 as Todmorden posted a score of 164 for eight.

In reply Bacup were all out for 130 with skipper Stuart Priestley taking six for 13.

The day after Todmorden lost by one wicket. They made 160 for nine with Joe Whitehead topscoring with an unbeaten 47.

Hurr Abbas got 43 and then took three for 22 with Priestley also taking three for 45, but Nelson made 163 for nine with more than six overs to spare.
