Snow disappears and golfers take advantage

THE snow which fell in Todmorden last weekend had fortunately gone by Sunday to allow the latest round of the Winter League to take place at Todmorden Golf Club.

Twenty keen and hardy players braved the cold damp, conditions and Fred Stutter won the individual score with 39 points.

The winning team however was Glen and Warren Duckworth and “Casper the Ghost” Alan Troy, who is this week recovering in a warmer climate.

All the golfers have fingers crossed for some warmer, drier weather this coming weekend.
