Stableford win for lady captain, and an 18-hole first win for Jane

Todmorden Golf Club’s Lady captain Janet Taylor won the nine-hole Stableford competition with 19 points, coming a close second was Gill Neely with 18 points.

Winning her first competition was Jane Studd who took the 18-hole prize with 35 points. Second was Irene Muldowney, with 34 points.

Three players made birdies - Julia White had a three on the first hole, Irene Muldowney made birdie on the fourth, and Irena Brown got a two on the 15th.

Janet Topham won nearest the pin prize on the fifth hole.

The Ladies playing in the ADP competition are doing well, winning all the three matches played so far.

They beat Dore and Totley 3 - 0, Owston Hall 3 - 0 and last Sunday won 2 - 1 against Crow Nest, Brighouse.

David Stafford won the nine-hole club championship, held at Hebden Bridge Golf Club, with a nett 66, after a card play-off winning on the back three holes.

Todmorden men came fifth out of the 11 teams taking part.
