Terriers disappointed as Jammies edge netball nailbiter

Terriers were disappointed to lose to leaders Jammies 20 - 17 in the Todmorden Netball League.

Jammies upped their game after a slow start with excellent passing skills to take the lead.

Goals were scored in quick succession in the second half but Jammies’ early lead ensured the win.

Giants just pipped Panthers 14 - 13 in a fast-paced game with good defending and shooting by both teams.

It was neck and neck all the way to the end with Giants just managing to scrape a win in the last seconds.

New team Borough Bears snatched it 9 - 8 from Windies.

With only six players starting and two regular shooters missing Windies knew they had a fight on their hands.

The first half was a bit sloppy for Windies with Bears taking a 7 - 2 lead at half-time.

When their seventh player arrived Windies fought back but the large goal lead of Bears was just a little too much for Windies to pull back the deficit.

After an even first half, Rangers pulled away in the second to beat Lions 17 - 8.

In the first half there was good passing and marking from both teams, but Rangers took the lead with some good teamwork.

The second half saw Rangers reading the game better and putting in some fantastic shooting.

Lions worked hard but were at times unlucky. Jacks had no game.
