IT was a second hat trick in a row for Terry Lowe as Todmorden Borough Reserves started the year with a 4-4 draw against Longridge Town Reserves.
Borough played well in the first half, but could only manage one goal.
David Thomas found Lowe who chipped the ball over the keeper and nipped round him to follow the ball into the net.
Without a regular goalkeeper available manager Craig Milnes had to go in goal and it was his clearance kick which brought the equaliser as the ball was fired back over him.
Playing with the wind, the visitors got on top and increased their lead when a cross was headed against the bar and fell kindly for a forward who slotted it home.
They went further ahead with a goal from a corner, before Borough hit back.
Dave Patrick was brought down in the area and Lowe scored from the spot.
They were soon level when James Staroszczuk slotted the ball in at the back post.
The visitors hit straight back and as Borough failed to clear, the ball was thumped home.
The home side were not beaten however and a cross found Lowe who fired it home for his hat trick.
