Todmorden Netball League

In a tight game in the first half Bears held Dodgers, but they pulled away in the second half. to win 23 - 9 in the latest series of matches in the Todmorden Netball League.

There was some poor passing from Bears and some excellent shooting by Dodgers.

It was a close thing between Panthers and Windies, but eventually Panthers squeaked it 13 - 12.

A full-strength Panthers squad had made a slow start but pulled it back in the second half.

Windies started well and took the lead but Panthers started to pull it back, though there was excellent defending from Fiona Monaghan, playing out of position with three usual defenders missing,

Giants played well as a team using the court well and finding the net easily as they defeated Lions 16 - 7. Their defence kept Lions circle play to a minimum keeping their score low.

Lions took some time to settle with sloppy passing alowing Giants to get three quick goals from which they never looked back.

Lions picked up pace in the second half and scored three in quick succession, but Giants replied strongly with excellent passing and good use of space.

Jacks’ defence played well even with an injured GD and were much better in the second half.

But they were not able to hold Terriers who went on to win comfortable 25 - 5.

Rangers had no game.
