Todmorden netball league round-up

GIANTS managed to find the net in the last seconds to beat Rangers 15 - 13 in the latest series of games in the Todmorden Netball League.

They played excellent defence and kept Rangers on their toes in a fast paced game.

In the second half it was even right until the end when Giants clinched it.

Windies capitalised on Lions mistakes to gain an early lead and ran out comfortable 15 - 6 winners.

Lions managed to pull back some points in the second half due to sloppy Windies passing but it was never going to be enough.

Borough Bears bounced back to winning ways with an 11 - 8 victory over Jacks.

Fluid passing helped Bears as they started to gel.

The game was evenly matched in the first half. But Jacks paid for lost possession several times in the second half.

They pulled it closer with some good play but could not overhaul the Bears.

Panthers fought hard against league leaders Jammies but were finally pipped 17 - 16.

It was an even game throughout, but well placed passes from Jammies helped them maintain the lead throughout.

Panthers struggled to raise a full team this week and did not have the usual formation.

Jammies are always a tough team to beat but there was good defence and excellent attack by Emma and Nat.

Terriers had no game.
