We have teamed up with the National Youth Film Festival Awards to showcase the best of teenage UK talent in a short-film contest.
The ‘Round My Corner’ competition focuses on family, friends and local neighbourhoods.
Shortlisted nominees will have their films put before a range of famous film sector professionals including The Iron Lady producer Damien Jones, film and TV director Ken Loach, producer Rebecca O’Brien, actor Toby Jones (The Girl, Hunger Games, Harry Potter) and Film 2013 presenter and writer Danny Leigh.
Winners will be invited to London to celebrate their achievements at a glittering awards ceremony on November 8.
To enter you need to be up to 19 years old and produce a film no longer than three minutes in length based on what ‘Round My Corner’ means to you.
Editor John Kenealy said: “I am delighted that the Todmorden News and Hebden Bridge Times is taking part in such an exciting project. In this digital age the technology is getting smarter all the time and the ability to film and edit has never been more accessible.
“Video is now an established part of showcasing the lives we lead and the world we live in. I can’t wait to see the finished projects.”
But you only have until midday Friday, October 11, to submit your project.
For more details on how to enter go to either of our titles’ websites - www.todmordennews.co.uk/youthfilm or www.hebdenbridgetimes.co.uk/youthfilm - to find out how.
Your entry will also appear on our website after submission for all to enjoy.
