Hotly tipped for Oscar success, ‘The Butler’ is coming to Hebden Bridge Picture House.
Director Lee Daniels’s tale about a butler for the White House looks back on some of the most dramatic events in American history from the 20th century.
Forest Whitaker plays Cecil Gaines, loosely based on real-life White House butler Eugene Allen, who grew up on a cotton plantation in Georgia in the 1920s then went on to serve eight American presidents over three decades.
The ensemble cast features award-winning actors such as Oprah Winfrey, Vanessa Redgrave, Robin Williams, John Cusack and Alan Rickman.
The all-star line-up is sure to make this one to watch. ‘The Butler’ is served up on Sunday at 4pm, Monday at 7.45pm and Thursday at 10.30am.
