With still six weeks to go before Calder Valley Youth Theatre’s production of Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Starlight Express takes to the stage, ticket sales look set to break records.

The show is being staged at Halifax Playhouse from Wednesday, November 12, to Saturday, November 15

Adrian Horton, of CVYT, said earlier this week: “We believe they are selling faster than any show we have ever produced so if you have not bought tickets yet, I would suggest you book them soon. As I write this, we have following tickets left for the following nights: Wednesday, 143 left; Thursday, 111 left; Friday, 79 left; Saturday matinee, 53 left; and Saturday evening, just four tickets left.

“Please visit www.cvyt.co.uk for how to get yours. Either book online or send a booking form to us with payment.”

l Places are now available for a ceramics workshp which is being run by Sarah McDade on Sunday, October 12, at Artsmill, Linden Road, Hebden Bridge (11am to 4pm).

The workshop will run from 11am to 4pm. A vegetarian lunch and refreshments are provided. Places are limited to six and the cost including clay and firing of work (usually within two weeks) will be £55. For enquiries contact sarah@sarahmcdade.co.uk or text/telephone 07746 240195.
