FOUR local artists have opened a new exhibition at ArtsMill in Hebden Bridge.

‘Have you seen my childhood?’ has been created by Northlight Studios tutors Mary Loney, Sue Turner and Don Myers, and former student Carole Kirk.

Sue teaches ceramics and Mary teaches art at Todmorden College. Mary rarely exhibits her large paintings, providing the public with a rare chance to see her work.

Don teachers at Northlight and at the Square Chapel in Halifax, while Carole, who graduated from the college last year and has been taught by all three tutors, organised the event as part of her degree. Carole said: “I’m delighted that ArtsMill have given us this opportunity, and I’m really excited to be exhibiting with Mary, Sue and Don. We all work with childhood as a theme, but our work is very different. I think people are going to be quite surprised by the show.”

‘Have you seen my Childhood?’ runs until March 6 at ArtsMill Gallery in Hebden Bridge and is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
