A “FIRST” at Todmorden Photographic Society’s annual exhibition last autumn was the chance for the public to vote for their favourite photograph in the weekend-long show.

The vote, organised by Janet Wright, gave members of the public a chance to pick their three favourite prints on show.

Everyone who took part seemed to enjoy the idea and certainly spent a lot more time examining the prints, said Janet.

“The society, like all photographers, like feedback on their work and to have views as well as the judges’ was a welcome change and will hopefully be continued at the next exhibition,” she said.

In third place was Horse Power by Philip Willis, second was Chris Speaks’ Approaching Storm and the winner was Bleak Midwinter by Jacqui Cordingley.
