The next free showings in the series of film days promoted by TAODS under the Electric Palace Cinema banner take place at the Hippodrome Theatre on Saturday, October 12.

In the afternoon at 2pm the Pixar computer-animation comedy Monsters University will be screened.

Ever since Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University. But during his first term at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley”, a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the university’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realise they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right!

The evening offering at 7.30pm is Man Of Steel, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman. A boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to Krypton to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the Earth from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind. “Don’t miss this great, big, meaty, chewy, spectacular superhero adventure,” said a spokesman.
