WITH her debut album just released, a Jools Holland appearance and a stack of glowing reviews piling up, it looks like Beth Jeans Houghton’s time has come.

Aged 22, she is described by The Guardian as looking like “Gwen Stefani with a touch of Brody Dalle”, with a sound that is “Vashti Bunyan crossed with Nico and Laura Marling”.

Come and see for yourself as she takes to the stage at the Trades Club tonight (Thursday).

Doors open at 8pm. Tickets £10/£8.

The Mental Elf Autumn Equinox will take place on Friday night, featuring Jim Nasty, Special K, Orchestre Pirouette and Chapter 4’s very own Slackears.

Doors open at 9pm. Tickets £10/£7.

Resident DJs Flash Atkins and CP will be joined by counterparts from Now Wave at Into The Valley on Saturday night.
