Dance your socks off for charity at the Trades Club

THE Trades Club is gearing up to go mental for a spectacular charity fundraising gig in aid of Oxfam on Friday.

The event has been organised by Hebden Bridge’s Mental Elf Collective and boasts a host of home-grown talent, including a live performance by Tetchi and DJ sets from Scott HUB and HRH The Pernickety Bint.

Renowned for their eclectic club and festival nights, Mental Elf describe the night as “a fantastical party atmosphere, bringing together live musicians and DJs with a sprinkling of elf magic and mayhem”, all to raise cash and support for Oxfam.

Rhiannedd McLean, the manager of the Oxfam shop, Market Street, Hebden Bridge, said: “Currently there are ten million people in East Africa with little or no access to clean water. Oxfam is trying to help by providing emergency aid such as water and medicine and also longer lasting solutions, such as access to more sustainable water sources by drilling boreholes. Every penny counts in an emergency like this and you can help simply by having a good night out and dancing your socks off.”

The event runs from 9pm to 1.30am and tickets are priced at £4/£6. For more information telephone 01422 845265
