The entertainment scene in Brighouse continues to grow as Roger Davies helps launch Big Shots Coffee Co as a venue for live music.

The town’s newest cafe bar plans to hold events through the year with the man dubbed The Bard of Brighouse ready to play his inimitable brand of home-grown songs including Judy Woods and Brighouse on a Saturday Night on Friday, January 22.

Tickets can be bought from either Eventbrite.com or directly from the café on Thornhill Beck Lane for £10 each.

Davies has built a real following over the last few of years and soon will head off to support Fairport Convention on their Spring tour.

“I always look forward to performing in my hometown and I’m pleased to have been invited to do so at Big Shots Cafe Bar. I’m about to start a 30 date UK tour with folk rock band Fairport Convention so it’s a perfect opportunity to celebrate.”

Stefanie Hopkins, co-founder of Big Shots, said:

“We’re thrilled that our first live music event is going to be headlined by one of Yorkshire’s most engaging singer songwriters - Roger Davies - and we are looking forward to hearing him perform some of his most popular songs about our hometown.

“We’re very much looking forward to showcasing our offering throughout 2016,” added Stefanie.
