Guitar George and his band back on stage

GUITar George Borowski returns to Walsden Cricket Club with his band the Fantastic Wonderfuls next Friday (September 14)

The highly rated stalwart of the Manchester music scene, whose six-string skills have seen him impress the like of the Pixies’ Frank Black and Teardrop Explodes’ Julian Cope, who raved about George’s 2003 power pop album on the Ozit label, be part of Meatloaf’s band on stage and issue albums of his own (small in number but high in quality and critical acclaim) returns to the club following a successful date in the spring.

He will be on stage around 8pm and tickets are £5, available from the club (ring 01706 813179)

The gig will also allow club followers to see professional Ranil Dhammika socially before he returns home.
