Lunchtime recitals are set to return to Halifax Minster this month - but with a new flavour.
The popular organ concerts, which will begin again on April 7, will be served up along with snacks, sandwiches and drinks.
The 45-minute recitals are free of charge and begin at 1pm with sandwiches and snacks on sale from 12.30pm onwards. Minster organist Graham Gribbin said: “The aim is to bring the organ recitals to a new audience and by introducing the light lunches, create a very relaxed atmosphere.”
On Thursday, April 7 Alexander Woodrow, organist at Bradford Cathedral, will play followed on April 14 by Simon Lindley, organist at Leeds Minster. On April 28, guest organist will be David Barker and on Bank Holiday Monday, May 2, Simon Lindley will give a special recital with a £6 admission charge.
