‘Suit and Thai’ order of the day at fundraiser

SUITS and Thai will be the order of the day when the Cambodia Youth Music Fund hold their next fund-raising event on Thursday, March 29, at Hanuman Thai in Water Street, Todmorden (7.30pm).

Dubbed a “Suit and Thai” evening by the organisers, it will include a sumptuous thai buffet (vegetarians catered for).

The evening’s entertainment features live music from “Stems”, a collaboration between classically trained orchestral musicians and an experimental guitarist, John Dorr, creating a beautiful and vibrant musical landcape.

DJ Northzone will play an eclectic set of tunes, beats and grooves from around the world, including classics from the goden age of Cambodian pop.

Founder Mabel Wilcockson said: “The suggested dress code for the evening is “Suit and Thai”; interpret this any way you wish!” Tickets are £8 and can be booked by phoning Hanuman Thai restaurant on 01706 817010.

The fund is a small, not-for-profit group based in Todmorden and Hebden Bridge.
