Auditions for Little Theatre’s Habeas Corpus - and they would welcome help backstage too

Director Richard Brook is holding an audition/readthrough of Hebden Bridge Little Theatre’s summer production of Habeas Corpus on Sunday, March 3 (2.30pm) and extends a warm welcome to anyone who would like to act, be involved backstage or help front of house.

The play is probably Alan Bennett’s most popular one with amateur groups and this is the second time the Little theatre have performed it, the first being 20 years ago to mark the opening of their new building in 1993.

There is a sizeable cast, requiring six men and five women with ages ranging from late teens through to characters in their thirties to sixties.

The play is a farcical, comic merry-go-round of mistaken identity and the cast will have plenty of fun in playing characters with names such as Canon Throbbing and Felicity Rumpers.
