In the spirit of the Year of the Fire Monkey a new comedy club exploded into life in March.

Following great audience feedback the Comedy Club (The Golden Lion, Todmorden) will become a regular feature with acts from Manchester, Rochdale and of course the Calder Valley talent performing stand up, poetry and songs to tickle your fancy.

On Sunday April 24 at 7pm Upstairs at the Golden Lion, Trigger Happy and Mrs No Overall’s will take to the stage with her Burlesque show.

Frasco Fools from Manchester and Thom Bee from Rochdale will join the pandemonium with Kevin Caswell-Jones, John Fitzpatrick and Ben Turner storming the stage.

Squeezed in between will be some delightful Open Mic performances so bring your funny poems and jokes along and get there early for an Open Mic spot.

Next gig dates are May 22 and June 26 when there will be an all female line up to celebrate Ladyfest.

Tickets cost £3 on the door.
