ON Sunday night a group of 30 local people where invited to be the trial audience for “Search Party”, a new theatre adventure created by Cornholme-based events company, Canopy.
The group met on Burnley Road, were shuttled to Shaw Lane and then set off on an high octane adventure through scenic Pudsey Clough. Along the way the tragic myth of Ms Bearnshaw was revealed to them by their guides - Miss Pollard, a vigilante dinner lady, comically performed by Ruth Cockburn, and the dashing PC Lemming, played by Paul Leeming.
There were plenty of surprises in store in the form of hidden chocolate boxes, secret messages, a beautiful illuminated white hare and a population of wild and wonderful characters performed by Claire Jones, Sonya Moorhead, Daniel Wallace and Mary O’Neill.
Everyone was served supper by local caterer Gill Ward at her family’s home after the performance.
