Society's tasty screening

The film was the first directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro who met while studying animation and later went on to make the popular film ‘Amelie’.

The award-winning surreal comedy is the story of the landlord of an apartment building who occasionally prepares a delicacy or two for his odd tenants.

Geoff Andrew in ‘Time Out’ described the film as ‘a fast, funny feature debut which entertains from sinister start to frantic finish’.

In the New Year, the first screening for the society will be the ‘hilarious and heart-breaking’ ‘Rams’ on January 22, followed by ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ on February 5.
