Rare chance to get up close to Jo

Tickets are already selling fast for May's Hebden Bridge Comedy Club but that shouldn't come as a great surprise, given the calibre of the line-up.

BAFTA award-winning comedian Jo Caulfield is well-known for her regular appearances on ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘Live At The Apollo’ and on Radio 4.

She got her first break when she found herself drunkenly entering a comedy competition in the ‘80s. Although unprepared and hardly able to stand - let alone speak - she won! Hailed by The Observer as ‘one of the finest female comics at work’, Jo successful tours in her own right and there will be a rare opportunity to catch her up close in the intimate setting of the Old Gate pub on Sunday, May 8.

Also on the bill will be Caimh McDonnell, the white-haired Irishman described by Sarah Millican as ‘a very funny man’. Known as the comedian with the name no-one can pronounce - try ‘Kweeve’ and all will be well - he appeared in both series of ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’ and the SKY panel show ‘A League of Their Own’. When not doing that, Caimh is proud to be ‘The Voice of London Irish’ and acts as the announcer in the Madjeski stadium.

Compere Alex Boardman and Glenn Moore complete the line up. The show starts at the new, slightly later, time of 8.30pm. Tickets at £8.50 from the Old Gate pub.
