See inside the new Todmorden Aldi as it opens its doors

Standing at 1,140 sqm of retail space, the Burnley Road store is the first Aldi to open in and around Todmorden.

The new store will be run by Store Manager Scott Slater, along with a team of 26 colleagues from the local community.

The new store will offer large chillers and freezers dedicated to fresh, British meat products, a ‘Food to Go’ section at the front of the store, a fixture along the back wall showcasing Aldi’s award-winning Beers, Wines and Spirits, and an exclusive section full of Health & Beauty products.

Customers visiting the store can safely pick up all the essentials they need. The Aldi in Todmorden has a number of safety measures in place, including sanitisation stations on entry, Perspex screens at its tills and social distancing reminders in store, as well as a traffic light system to control the number of people going in and out of the store.

Todmorden customers can also take a walk down the ‘Aisle of Aldi’, where they will find legendary Specialbuys which are available every Thursday and Sunday. During opening week, the store will be running its Baby and Toddler event, with offers including a bedside crib for £79.99, Clevamama baby snuggle nest for £29.99 and a 2.5 tog baby sleeping bag for £9.99.

The new store is located on 55 Burnley Road, Todmorden, OL14 7BS and will be open:

Monday - Saturday: 8am – 10pm

Sunday: 10am – 4pm
