The fundraising night at Todmorden Working Men’s Social Club for the family of mum-of-two Stephie Evans, who passed away in November, raised a bumper £500.
Headed by singer Steve Dean and featuring some auction items, club secretary Phil Walters presented Stephie’s partner, Ben Widdup, with the money raised at the entertainment evening.
Steph, who had the heart condition dilated cardiomyopathy, in which the heart’s ability to pump blood around the body is decreased, was 25 and leaves Ben and young sons Alfie-James and Layton-Baylee.
Mr Walters said: “Entertainer Steve Dean gave his services for free and with the bumper raffle and auction made it good night for fundraising.
“Todmorden Social Club would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made donations to the raffle, and to Burnley Football Club for the tour tickets.
“The club hope to organise another night early in the New Year.”
Following Stephie’s passing, a fundraising website set up in Steph’s memory can be found at www.youcaring.com/memorial-fundraiser/in-memory-of-stephie-/268267.
