Towngate Cottage is a cosy, stone-built corner cottage that has been completely refurbished to a very high standard, including slate flooring to the ground floor with underfloor heating and is currently used as a successful holiday let.
The accommodation is set over two floors and boasts a newly fitted kitchen and combined sitting room with a warm and cosy wood burner style gas stove, making this room an ideal place to relax after a hard day’s walking in the nearby hills. The bright king-size double bedroom boasts solid oak flooring and windows to two sides. The cottage features a small but well equipped bathroom, again newly refurbished.
Hebden Bridge is less than a mile away and guests can enjoy its lively nightlife, many independent shops and cafes, and the old cinema, where tea and scones are served during the interval. Enjoy inspiring walks from the doorstep across the beautiful moors or explore the home of the Bronte sisters in nearby Haworth.
As the cottage is in the historic centre of Heptonstall, parking is not permitted directly outside (except for unloading luggage), but there is free car parking within 50m. There is no garden at the cottage, but there is a sheltered paved seating area at the rear of the property with a bistro table and two chairs. There is also a tap with short hose for washing down dogs after a day out walking.
