FAMILIES enjoyed a weekend of animal activities at Gordon Rigg Garden Centre, Walsden.
Animal charities brought owls, hedgehogs, creepy crawlies, snakes, poultry and ponies to the garden centre, on Rochdale Road, earlier this month.
People of all ages had an opportunity to handle the animals and take part in a range of activities including a duck race, treasure hunt and a coconut shy.
Manager Tim Bayliss said: “It was brilliant.
“We had a great two days.
“We had a lot of people who came to see quite a range of creatures.
“It was a really good family day out.”
Money raised at the event will be split between the charities that attended the event.
Tim added: “It’s the third time we’ve held it.
“We try to build on it each year. We added more games this year.
“It keeps people here longer and adds a bit of variety to their visit.”
