This stunning photograph of the Aurora Borealis was sent to us from a Courier reader from their vantage point on Todmorden Moor.

The picture was taken on Wednesday evening from Woodlands View Education on Bacup Road.

The Aurora Borealis - better known as the Northern Lights - was visible over parts of the UK as the earth moved into a new alignment with the sun.

If you spot any stunning scenery in and around Calderdale, we’d love you to share your snaps with us. Send them to newsdesk@halifaxcourier.co.uk or via Twitter or Facebook.
