Special guest Bertie Bee - mascot of Burnley Football Club - will be buzzing into town to officially open the refurbished Todmorden Post Office on Brook Street, Todmorden, a little earlier than expected on Saturday morning (June 15).

Bertie will cut the ribbon at around 9.30am - and hour earlier than previously announced.

The Clarets’ busy bee has been double booked and today told the Post Office team - Stephen, Roger and Linda Spencer - that he has had to re-shape his diary and will be in town a little earlier.

With some refreshments to welcome customers, it should be a hive of activity for the rest of the morning, until around 12.30pm.

As well as a complete refurbishment, the Post Office is planning to extend its opening hours, alongside other innovations.
