An estate agent has decided to go it alone in 2014.

Claire Sheehan Intercounty has broken away from Intercounty to trade alone as Claire Sheehan Estate Agents.

Managing director Claire Sheehan said: “We have enjoyed a four-year partnership with Intercounty, which has been great, especially considering it was something of a marriage of convenience following the demise of Halifax Estate Agents, our former partners.

“After 15 years of working as an estate agent in the upper Calder Valley I felt the frustrations that sometimes come when working as part of a larger organisation and decided that I could best serve the needs of people looking to move home by being totally independent so that I can focus 100 per cent on the needs of local people.

“It’s meant a lot of hard work but we’ve had lots of positive feedback on our new look. We wanted to retain our green and orange colour scheme but hoped adding Stoodley Pike and the outline of our local hills would connect with people.”
