Calderdale’s beauty has been showcased on the world stage thanks to a Valley business.

Todmorden Golf Club joined forces with Calrec Audio to create a promotional video for the company’s new audio equipment.

The film uses the picturesque setting of the club to promote Calrec’s new Fieldbox, a small format microphone designed to get sounds from multiple remote locations to broadcast to your television.

The Fieldbox was launched at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas, the biggest international broadcast trade show in the world.

Calrec’s Anthony Harrison said: “Calrec was formed in Hebden Bridge over 50 years ago, and the Calder Valley is a big part of our global brand.

“Our customers love visiting the area, and it was great for us to be able to use the locality in a promotional video.

“It was well received by everyone who saw it, and it told our message in a fun and memorable way.

“On a personal note it was great to see the Calder Valley hills every day while we were in the middle of the Nevada desert.”

Todmorden Golf Club member and owner of Todmorden-based physiotherapy clinic MM Physiotherapy, Mike Murray, agreed to help achieve Calrec’s vision.

The silent movie style film outlines the benefits of Calrec’s new technology, while showcasing the rugged beauty of Todmorden Golf Club,

Mike, who appears in the film, said: “It’s important to develop strong relationships with the surrounding community.

“Local businesses benefit from helping each other as it raises community spirit and profiles, which ultimately keeps local industry thriving.”
