THE full range of businesses, services and community groups in Todmorden will be on display this weekend.
Made in Tod, which is organised by Todmorden Business Association (TBA), will put the town’s businesses and a range of other groups in the “shop window” at Todmorden Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13.
Nicki Hewson-Betts, of TBA, said it will be a really good showcase of what the town has to offer. “I think we have everything you could need in Todmorden and it’s just a case of making people aware of it and utilising it,” she said.
TBA is hoping to get 2,000 people through the doors at the event, which is supported by Todmorden town council.Admission is free and it will be open from 10.30am until 4pm on both days.
Made in Tod is hoping to build on the success of the 12 Days of Todmas, which helped to raise the profile of the town’s businesses in the run-up to Christmas. Nicki said: “I spoke to someone who came to visit for the day and they are coming back once a month to buy stuff from Todmorden Market because they were so impressed. It shows we have businesses that are active and can draw people from far and wide.”
In addition to the stalls, there will also be practical demonstrations, taster sessions and children’s entertainment. TBA has provided free parking in Bramsche Square on both days.
