Businessman to give talk at prestigious London conference

A Mytholmroyd business has been awarded a lectureship accolade.

Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce member Russell King Consulting has been awarded the accolade of lecturing on business continuity and community crisis management in civil society at the Connections UK Conference later this year.

The conference will be hosted by the War Studies Department of King’s College London in September.

The lecture will be attended by members of the UK, European and US civil and military authorities and other leading global resilience practitioners.

Among the subjects will topics from Russell’s book, It Could Happen Tomorrow! which was published last year.

The talk will also discuss ideas with the audience for further potential publications to help ensure businesses are protected against disaster.

Russell has over 30 years’ experience stretching back to some of the major disasters of the 1980s, which has latterly included involvement in the 2012 London Olympics and the 2014 Tour de France Grand Depart Yorkshire.
