A CHARITY shop is appealing for help after donations have hit an all time low.
Volunteers and staff at the Age UK shop in Todmorden are urging people to donate unwanted items to help re-fill empty rails and shelves.
Staff are struggling to keep up with demands of shoppers as donations have plummeted dramatically in the last three months.
Manager Rebecca Nichol said: “Our store room is usually piled high but now it’s almost empty. Without continued donations of everything from clothing to cookware, Age UK cannot continue its vital work to help improve the lives of older people across the country.”
Staff are appealing for good quality men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, plus items including crockery, books, CDs and DVDs.
“We are looking for quality items, no matter how big or small,” Rebecca said.
“Anything we cannot sell gets recycled through our recycling partnerships, so nothing goes to waste.”
She also encouraged people to fill in a Gift Aid form when donating items.
