TODMORDEN Town Council has been re-accredited with Quality Parish Status.
The Yorkshire Local Councils Association (YLCA) has praised the town council for its links with the community, commitment to training, and the promotion of local democracy and citizenship.
Coun David O’Neill said: “We were really pleased to get Quality Parish Status in 2007 and are absolutely delighted to get it again.”
He thanked town clerk Catherine Emberson for her hard work in preparing the application.
She has been invited to speak at a YLCA event in July.
